An Introduction to MGI Genetic Data and Quality Control Procedures
Matthew Zawistowski, PhD and Brett Vanderwerff, PhD delivered the keynote talk titled: “The Michigan Genomics Initiative: Managing a Dynamic University Resource” to the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics (DCMB) workshop on Rigor and Reproducibility to Enhance Transparency in Research (August 24, 2021). This talk provides an introduction to MGI, the data collection process and the QC measures that ensure high quality data. The talk also covers how MGI is shared with university investigators in a secure manner to ensure patient privacy.
2019 MGI Workshop
On Monday, December 16 2019, Precision Health at the University of Michigan and the Department of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health sponsored the first MGI Workshop. Organized by Sebastian Zöllner, Professor of Biostatistics and Assistant Director of Precision Health’s Data Analytics & IT Workgroup, the workshop brought MGI researchers together with potential users of MGI genetic data.
