Arul Chinnaiyan, precision health researcher and director of the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology, is exploring how a protein involved in prostate cancer might also play a role in COVID-19, and if prostate cancer treatments could work against the virus.

Stephanie Moon, PhD—Assistant Professor in Human Genetics, Medical School—and Nils G. Walter, PhD—Francis S. Collins Collegiate Professor of Chemistry, Biophysics, and Biological Chemistry, and founding co-director of U-M’s Center for RNA Biomedicine—received a Collaborative Pairs Pilot Project Award from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
