Spring 2021 Membership Drive

Progress through Collaboration

Become one of Precision Health’s Spring 2021 Members

When you become a member of Precision Health, you will be part of a focused, driven community of research collaborators who see beyond the boundaries of department and field of study.

In addition to being connected to hundreds of researchers across campus, you will have ready tools and datasets at your fingertips, which go beyond genetics to incorporate social determinants of health, EHR, imaging, and other data sources. Attend training and networking sessions, and explore funding options for education and career development.

Join by March 31, 2021, to become part of the Spring Member Cohort and be featured in the April Precision Health newsletter.

Advance your work with access to datasets, analytics tools, and other research resources, like

  • The Michigan Genomics Initiative (MGI), a cohort of over 80,000 participants (with consent to re-contact) and their electronic health record data, as well as linked third-party data
  • Self-serve Precision Health DataDirect tool, which allows researchers to query and access the de-identified health data of more than 4 million Michigan Medicine users
  • Precision Health de-identified Research Data Warehouse (RDW), enabling researchers to directly query the de-identified version of the enterprise RDW (which underlies Precision Health DataDirect)
  • Genetic data and analyses, with data analysts available to assist with requests and links to clinical and other health data
  • Research Scientific Facilitators, who provide support, guidance, and answers for all Precision Health Analytics Platform resources
  • Armis/Yottabyte and Turbo, secure computing environments for both Linux and Windows users
  • Dedicated GPUs (48) available through the Precision Health Armis2 allocation

Make your research more visible and boost your connections with

  • Communications support, such as promotion of significant publications, member spotlight features, and short profile videos
  • A web profile, with a professional bio and research interests/details
  • Opportunities to serve on workgroups, ad hoc committees, and as a reviewer for the Precision Health grants program
  • Mentoring opportunities with postgrads, residents, fellows, and trainees
